K-민화의 현대적 계승과 한국 미술의 미래
제3회 대한민국국회문화예술초대전, 이미형 교수 심사위원장
제3회 대한민국국회문화예술초대전에서 이미형 교수가 K-민화 심사위원장으로서 선보인 리더십과 예술적 안목이 큰 주목을 받고 있다.
이번 전시는 550여 점의 작품 속에서 진정한 예술혼을 가려내는 과정을 통해 70명의 초대작가를 선정하며,
공정하고 투명한 심사로 K-민화의 현대적 계승을 실현했다.
특히 우현진 작가의 작품을 최종 표지작으로 선정한 교수의 예리한 판단은 한국 미술계의 미래를 밝히는 등대와 같은 존재임을 보여주었다.
한글세계화운동연합 정성길 사무총장은 “이미형 교수님의 열정과 탁월한 안목에 깊은 존경을 표하며,
K-민화의 아름다움을 전 세계에 알리는 문화적 교량으로서 앞으로의 활동을 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
또한 내년에는 문화부 장관상과 함께 더 많은 예술인들이 꿈을 펼칠 수 있는 무대를 만들어 달라는 당부도 전했다.
이미형 교수의 발걸음이 한국 문화의 세계적 확산에 중심적 역할을 할 것임을 확신하는 메시지가 전해졌다.
Preserving K-Minhwa for the Modern Era: Professor Lee Mi-hyung as Jury Chair

At the 3rd National Assembly Invitational Art Exhibition, Professor Lee Mi-hyung stood out as the Chair of the K-Minhwa jury, earning widespread recognition for her leadership and artistic insight.
Over 550 submitted works were carefully reviewed, culminating in the selection of 70 invited artists.
Through a process marked by fairness and transparency, Professor Lee has exemplified the modern preservation of K-Minhwa, Korea’s traditional folk painting.
Her discerning judgment was further highlighted by the choice of Woo Hyun-jin’s work as the cover piece for the exhibition, underscoring her role as a guiding beacon for the future of Korean art.
Jung Sung-gil, Secretary-General of the Korean Language Globalization Movement Association, expressed deep respect for Professor Lee’s passion and keen insight, stating:
"We look forward to her continuing role as a cultural bridge, bringing the beauty of K-Minhwa to the world."
He also encouraged her to create even more opportunities for artists to realize their dreams, alongside the Minister of Culture Award next year.
Professor Lee’s leadership is widely recognized as pivotal in advancing the global reach of Korean culture.
