[경기 한국사진방송] 이두수기자= 이번 9월 18일(월)부터 22일(금)까지 “BEVERLY Herd 17-3” 연습의 일환으로 미공군 오산비행장 군용기가 24 시간 연속 비행할 예정입니다. 24 시간 비행운영을 통해서 실질적인 임무 검증, 중요한 24 시간 지휘통제 시스템 및 절차를 시험하고 전반적인 임무 계획을 개선할 것입니다.
미 공군 비행 계획관들은 대한민국 공군과 협조하여 훈련 기간동안 자정부터 새벽 6시 사이에 소음을 최소화하기 위해 특별히 노력할 것입니다. 51전투비행단은 미국 항공기 관련 엄격한 소음 완화 절차를 시행하고 있습니다. 자정부터 새벽 6시 사이에 운영되는 51전투비행단 군용기는 한국 방공 식별 구역에서 훈련 임무를 수행하는 동안 해발 1 만피트 (약 3,048미터) 이상의 고도를 유지합니다. 이러한 제한에 대한 유일한 예외로 A-10공격기가 지상 또는 훈련장 해발 1000 피트(약 305m) 고도로 하강할 수 있습니다. 모든 항공기는 이륙 시 1 만 피트 이상으로 급상승하고 이 시기에 최고 속도 이륙은 금지됩니다.

Osan aircraft to participate in 24-hour flying operations
OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea - U.S. Air Force military aircraft will be participating in 24-hour continuous flight operations as a part of exercise BEVERLY Herd 17-3 from Monday September 18, 2017 through Friday September 22, 2017. The 24-hour flight operations will allow realistic mission validation, test critical 24-hour command and control systems and processes and improve overall mission planning.
U.S. Air Force flight planners, in coordination with their Republic of Korean Air Force counterparts, will make efforts to minimize noise between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. during the exercise. The 51 FW has implemented strict noise abatement procedures for U.S. aircraft. 51 FW aircraft operating between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. will maintain at or above 10,000 feet sea level while conducting training missions in the Korean Air Defense Identification Zone. The only exception to this restriction will be that A-10s will be allowed to descend to 1000 feet above ground level over water or on a range. All aircraft will execute takeoffs and expedite their climbs to above 10,000 feet sea level on departure. Combat style takeoffs will be prohibited during this time as well.
